Lavender is a Mediterranean herb so do not over water. They are drought tolerant and need free draining soil. Once planted they need little maintainance, however all lavenders need a good haircut after flowering, or at least by late summer so leave 2" of healthy green growth so new growth can establish before Autumn.


Lavender has a reputation for its soothing and calming qualities. It has been used over the centuries not only to cure many illnesses but to aid restful sleep place, a sachet or two under your pillow slip.
